About:
I am a strong believer that we can experience feelings and emotions without letting them identify us. I work from a narrative therapy perspective, which means the person is not the problem, the problem is usually brought upon through the social or personal constructs of the “shoulds.” eg: I should have done it differently or I should be farther along by now. Together, you and I can reframe the current mindset through question-asking.
In other words, we take your story and make you the main character again.
When you feel frozen creatively or personally, when there are blocks in your relationships and or success, sometimes, it takes a new perspective to make moves in new directions, so you can find your flow and your joy.
Before working in mental health, I was an acting coach for teens and young adults working in television and film. I was a child actor myself and had to navigate challenging relationships at a very young age which led me on this journey to help others. I have since worked at St. Bede’s Catholic school in La Canada as a mental health counselor and at my own alma mater, Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy.
I love working with kids, teens, and young adults.
